We were attracted to Waterford mainly because of its small size & for its great location.
Our favourite thing about Waterford is that it well & truly lives up to our expectations. It is hard to find anything to fault. We are looked after very well here. Even before we decided to move to Waterford we found the staff friendly, welcoming & caring. All staff members are a pleasure to deal with & we feel our village is in excellent hands thanks to the management & staff.
We find the sense of community here at Waterford very friendly & strong. There is so much to do to interact with other residents but at the same time there is a sense of respect where residents can choose how much they want to be involved in village activities & not feel obliged to be involved in everything.
Because we are so happy here we continue to recommend Waterford to others & have residents moving here due to our recommendation!
I have wonderful neighbours and other village friends who have never hesitated to assist me when required and kindly visited me when I was in hospital. We are there for each other and enjoy both the activities at Waterford along with other outside activities.
- Beverley FMost of the services I need are close by - transport, church, shops etc. My favourite thing is I feel secure here. It has a wonderful sense of community, everyone looks out for each other. The staff have been so kind and helpful with everything.
Yes I would recommend it to everyone. I think I am very fortunate to be here.
We certainly would recommend Waterford to anyone who is considering moving in here . It’s a wonderful place to live.
- Ken & Margot BThere is a wonderful community atmosphere here at Waterford. We don't attend a lot of activities because we have a full and varied life outside the Village but we know if we want to socialise within the Village it is always a lovely experience. We spent our Christmas Day and New Years Eve at the Village celebrating with other residents and we couldn't have been happier being in their company.
We always give our Village a big wrap and tell them how wonderful it is living here and the benefits of living in a boutique village.
I was attracted to Waterford by the size of the village and location.
My experience with the staff has been excellent and the sense of community is very good.
Would i recommend Waterford to others? Yes, most definately!
I visited the village last week and had a coffee when I had finished a unit inspection.
I noticed that you have prepared meals to take away, so purchased one of my favourites Steak and Kidney.
I just wanted to let you know that that it was a quality product and delicious. I would not hesitate to purchase more meals from you and would recommend it to anyone who is interested.
- Graham BSince moving into Waterford in 2014, we've experienced a newfound sense of freedom. Living in the village has granted us the ability to travel at a moment's notice, without any concerns. Beyond the convenience, we've also found wonderful friendships here, whom we consider our extended family
- John and Lillian"I have lived at Waterford a few years now and am very settled. Friends comment that it is more like a small community than a retirement village. It is ideally situated being close to buses, shops, restaurants and medical facilities. I have no regrets."
- PhilIn 2012 we moved to our lovely apartment in Waterford Village at the foot of Kincumba Mountain. We soon made new friends among the residents and enjoyed relaxing views over the Broadwater and surrounding green hills.
Over recent years oversight of the Village has been professionally managed by Rhonda Pickering and her staff whom we love and appreciate.
Facilities in the village include a spacious lodge, indoor pool, gym, billiard room, hairdressing salon, craft room, kitchen and large meeting area for functions.
Our comfortable villas and apartments provide us with privacy and security. It has been a joy to experience the benefits of this boutique Village in our retirement; a great place to invite our family and friends.
- Ernie & JanWe have lived at WATERFORD RETIREMENT VILLAGE FOR 10 YEARS and we have loved every moment. We would not live anywhere else.
- Elizabeth & MichaelI’ve lived at Waterford for 7 1/2 years now and I wonder where the time has gone.
We enjoy a wonderful social life, with Craft, Exercise Classes, Swimming and of course Happy Hour every Friday.
It’s great to be able to also socialise with your neighbours having meals or just sitting over a cuppa for a chat.
One big plus is everyone looks out for each other.
Our Management Team is always there for us, if not in person they are only a phone call away.
I’m sure there are many more things I have failed to mention.
I can certainly recommend our village.
- EdithWe entered the village on the 12th March 2011 and settled on a 1 bedroom apartment. We were the first residents to obtain an apartment.
We came from a large home and to downsize felt very unusual and different, though after some time we settled in nicely. We have furnished our apartment with style and elegance and received many positive comments.
All staff members are pleasant and cooperative. Our Maintenance manager is 2nd to none and our gardener always polite.
The residents are so friendly and approachable. We are in close proximity to the shops with Kincumber Shopping Centre within walking distance from our Apartment. Erina fair is a 10 min drive and we are close to Avoca and Terrigal Beaches.
We are happy in our haven and would recommend the lifestyle that Waterford Retirement Village brings.
- John & LorraineGail and I have enjoyed living at Waterford Retirement Village since day one. From the outset we were made so welcome by the residents and have already made several friends. The management and staff of the Village are fantastic - always friendly and willing to "go the extra mile". Now that Covid restrictions have been eased we are looking forward to again using the Village facilities and attending the Friday evening "happy hour" gatherings.

I have had a great experience moving into Waterford from the time I enquired.
I had recently lost my husband and was feeling overwhelmed at the thought of moving, but I found the sales process with Marie to be very smooth & the transition easy. Nothing was too much trouble & I could not have asked for a more supportive experience.
The village is beautifully maintained & the people I have met so far are very friendly. This was absolutely the right decision for me & I am really happy here.
- SueSince moving to Waterford Village I have found all the people are friendly and helpful. The view from my balcony is beautiful, with great views of the mountains and wonderful sunsets and sunrises. I have easy access to shops. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the staff have been very helpful. Amenities are excellent.
- JoanWaterford residents, family members and friends enjoy the freedom to be as private or as social as they desire. If you’re in the mood, get together with like minded neighbours over a drink or engage in any number of recreational activities. If not, simply enjoy the peaceful serenity of the professionally landscaped gardens.
Our move to Waterford was a very smooth process due to the wonderful assistance from Management and Staff. We lived at Terrigal and wanted to stay in the area. The coastal lifestyle is ideal for us with all the services nearby. We moved here early 2012 and are now living our dream.
Life at Waterford is fantastic, quiet except for the sound of Kookaburras, Magpies, Bellbirds abounding in the surrounding Kincumba Mountain. We have wonderful neighbours, extremely helpful and thoughtful Management and Staff who are always there to help with whatever your needs are. There are plenty of activities if you wish to join in, or just do your own thing. From Happy Hour to Alfresco dining gatherings. We even had our own Waterford Olympics!
Our Village amenities are first class with heated indoor swimming pool, gym, cinema and our own onsite café. The local shops and all the facilities you need are within walking distance, otherwise our Village bus is available and public transport is at the gate if you need it. Enjoy the easy ‘Foreshore Walk’ along the Brisbane Water all the way to Davistown. The beautiful Broadwater is ideal for fishing and boating. Avoca beach is just 6 km away so a dip in the ocean and a lunch at one of the many restaurants is a regular outing. My husband and I sit on the balcony of our beautiful apartment with water views overlooking Brisbane Waters and count our blessings that we are lucky enough to be a part of the Waterford Village lifestyle. Our only regret is we didn’t move to Waterford earlier.
